26 Script (S = Spike; G = Girl; B = Boy) 1. S: OK, let’s take a look around the shopping mall. I’ll tell you who’s in fashion and who’s not in fashion. Now, there’s an example of after-school style. Check out that guy in the orange short-sleeved shirt and the yellow jeans. B: Are those in fashion? S: Are those in fashion? Sure, that’s the new look this season! 2. S: The guy with the short pants needs some fashion lessons. His Hawaiian shirt is so out of style. G: That’s no good? S: No good? It looks like he’s going to the ocean for a barbecue party. This is a shopping mall, not a beach.

27 Script 3. S: Now, do you see the girl outside, next to the tree over there? She’s wearing a plaid short skirt and a pink sweater. G: Is that OK? S: Is that OK? Yeah, plaid is cool. Her blouse is white, and that goes with anything. She’s very fashionable and she knows it. This time next year, all the girls will copy her style. 4. S: Now, here’s an example of how not to dress. That girl, with the jeans? B: Are jeans out? S: Jeans? Out? Never! But those jeans have holes in them. No one wears holey jeans anymore. And the sleeves on her T-shirt are too loose.
