Adding & Subtracting to Solve  Solve the same way you would normally solve for a variable in an equation.  Examples: Write, Graph & Solve  x+12 < 20  d-5 > -7  0.9 ≥ x-0.3

Adding & Subtracting to Solve 0 Sami has a gift card. She used \$14 of the total value, which was \$30. Write, solve & graph an inequality to show how much more she can spend.

What If…..?  TRUE or FALSE 8 > 4 8 (-2) > 4(-2) -16 > -8 TRUE or FLASE?

Multiplying/ Dividing by Negatives

Multiplying/Dividing  We ONLY flip the sign if we are multiplying or dividing by a negative.  We DO NOT need to flip the sign if we are not multiplying/dividing by a negative.
