24. Learning Targets:
Students will learn about Chuck Close and learn how he has become a successful portrait artist. Students will get their picture taken to use for their self-portrait and apply the grid method to accurately scale the proportions of their picture. Using graphite, students will render shading and blending to create a likeness or expressive self-portrait. Finally, students will revise their artwork based on teacher and peer feedback expressed throughout the duration of project and during the STMA critique process.
