Keep opened items in plastic bags or screw-top jars. Inspect food for spoilage before use. Use foods before they spoil or are out of date. Rotate food

19 9-8-00 NAMB Family Preparedness19 Family Preparedness Sheltering your family. Use your home if possible. Evacuate the area if possible. (Plan your routes). Stay with family or neighbors. Use a shelter sponsored by ARC or your church. Use camper or the tent in your Family Disaster Kit. If necessary use your van or automobile.

20 9-8-00 NAMB Family Preparedness20 Family Preparedness Spiritual Preparation See the disaster as a ministry opportunity! Be READY to share the love of Christ. PRAY, PRAY, PRAY!PRAY, PRAY, PRAY! Meet People’s Needs Using Hope In Crisis

21 9-8-00 NAMB Family Preparedness21 Family Preparedness When disaster strikes! Keep calm and institute your Family Disaster Plan. Turn off your utilities. Help others and provide leadership. Inspect your surroundings. Seek information (Radio, TV, government officials). Provide information to government officials. Secure your shelter or evacuate the area.
