A video game designer’s job is to entertain millions of people with a single product. They create games, and determine many things in them. They help develop the plot, and script and debug the code. They typically work in an office, like other businesses, but the atmosphere is more laidback, with casual dress, and cubicles with artwork, and other personal interests and likes. They usually work with very strong computers, and the game systems they are working with.

Determine the effects of everything in-game – Game designers decide what everything in the game does, and this is important, as this is the main part of the game. This is one of the most important things they do, as they are in control of what makes the game. They control all of the gameplay, and that is the most important thing in a good game. If it’s not fun, why play it?
8
Script game code –They script the code, meaning they design the code so certain events happen when they should. Debug the code- People won’t play a buggy game. Designers are in charge of testing the game for any glitches, and then helping get rid of them.
9
Contribute to the game’s plot- Designers help write the story of the game, and help flesh out the characters. This is very important, as the story is one of the most important things, next to gameplay. Some people will buy a game just for the story, while others don’t mind a bad story, as long as the game is good, so designers must try to please both audiences with good gameplay and a good story.
