PRIEST OR NOT What garment is on you

 1 Pet 2:9: But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, (God’s own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.)  This royal holy priesthood has been made available to all of us by Christ Jesus.

Get the wedding Garment  The more we are disciplined in the things of the Spirit, the more we begin to clothe ourselves in priestly garments. We begin to see the joy there is in the priestly inheritance.  All popular teachings in the Body today is sort of priestly, e.g.:  Intercession and prayer is the burning of incense.  Personal worship to the Lord.  Praise and worship.  Carrying the Ark of God’s Presence.

But even if we do some priestly things.. we do not have the priestly revelation! Instead, we get so carried away with one portion of the priesthood. “Acting Holy”  God wants us to have a revelation of the whole picture:  About personal ministry unto the Lord.  About standing in the gap for the lost, even for the church. It is coming to a place of identity – just as Jesus did.  It means entering into praise and worship.  Of giving yourself to love God in that dimension.  It means carrying the Covenant of His Presence everywhere.  And the sensitivity of not grieving His Holy Spirit, etc.

Why some priests have a wedding garment..and some not  NO human can give you the priesthood – it is God’s own treasured possession!  NOTE: Some will miss out on the Wedding Feast of the Lamb in this millennium, even though they will not miss out on salvation.  Look in the Scriptures at the parable of the Wedding Feast … What is the reason that some missed out on the Feast?

Wrong Clothes  Matthew 22:11-13  11 But when the king came in to view the guests, he looked intently at a man there who had on no wedding garment.  12 And he said, Friend, how did you come in here without putting on the [appropriate] wedding garment? And he was speechless ( [a] muzzled, gagged).a  13 Then the king said to the attendants, Tie him hand and foot, and throw him into the darkness outside; there will be weeping and grinding of teeth.

Matt. 22:11-13  – the thing that will disqualify them is the clothes!  God is going to transform those who have been walking uprightly  – He is going to transform their priestly garment, into the robe of the Bride, those who are priestly vessels, “Not just acting Priestly”  those with a restored priestly passion.

Gods Will not ours.....  Hebrews 10:16-25  16 This is the covenant that I will make with them After those days, saith the Lord: I will put my laws on their heart, And upon their mind also will I write them; then saith he,  17 And their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.  18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.  19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,  20 by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;  21 and having a great priest over the house of God;  22 let us draw near with a true heart in fulness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience: and having our body washed with pure water,  23 let us hold fast the confession of our hope that it waver not; for he is faithful that promised:  24 and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works;  25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.

Sit at His feet and listen  Luke 10:38-42Amplified Bible (AMP)  38 Now while they were on their way, it occurred that Jesus entered a certain village, and a woman named Martha received and welcomed Him into her house.  39 And she had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was listening to His teaching.  40 But Martha [overly occupied and too busy] was distracted with much serving; and she came up to Him and said, Lord, is it nothing to You that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me [to lend a hand and do her part along with me]!  41 But the Lord replied to her by saying, Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things;  42 There is need of only one or but [a] a few things. Mary has chosen the good portion [ [b] that which is to her advantage], which shall not be taken away from her.ab

 The Parable of the Ten Virgins …9"But the prudent answered, 'No, there will not be enough for us and you too; go instead to the dealers and buy some for yourselves.' 10"And while they were going away to make the purchase, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding feast; and the door was shut. 11"Later the other virgins also came, saying, 'Lord, lord, open up for us.'…The Parable of the Ten Virgins91011  Cross References  Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Matthew 24:42 "Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come. Matthew 24:43 But understand this: If the owner of the house had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. Matthew 24:44 So you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him. Luke 12:35 "Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, Luke 13:25 Once the owner of the house gets up and closes the door, you will stand outside knocking and pleading, 'Sir, open the door for us.' "But he will answer, 'I don't know you or where you come from.' Revelation 19:7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory! For the wedding of the Lamb has come, and his bride has made herself ready. Matthew 7:21 Matthew 24:42 Matthew 24:43 Matthew 24:44 Luke 12:35 Luke 13:25 Revelation 19:7
