3.  Born in Pope Creek in 1737  Died in 1799  He was elected in 1789  He was the first president of our country  He is the only president that did not live in the White House.

4.  He had 6 kid in his family.  His parents were named Augustine Washington and Mary Washington.  He lived on a farm.

5.  He married to Martha Curtis.  He owned many slaves to help him with his farm work.  He built a mill in mount Vernon.  He planted tobacco and wheat on his farm.  His face is on a $1 bill and the quarter.

6.  He did not run against anyone in election.  His vice president was John Adams.  He was the leader of the Continental Army.  He was the first president of the United States.  His face is on MT. Rushmore.  He was elected twice.  He did not want to run for second term.
