Children are in a more relaxed world Doing Greater use of schools OOH’s – ICT clubs, sports clubs

6 Community – A view of the future Thinking/Feeling/Saying We would like families (parents) to be responsible for their own children To actively take interest in what their children do Schools should be there to educate – not become childminding centres lazy parents Children who start living their lives in centres after school will learn none their own family values Positive discrimination between lower and don’t see the problems of what they do now. middle class families Positive parenting – focus on parents of lower classes to teach them to break the cycle of door parenting How do you propose to involve children of a lower class area into groups when they Doing Start by closing the local chip shops near schools Brings community together for greater Kids off street, less litter

7 Families/parents – A view of the future Families/Parents – A view of the future Thinking/Feeling/Saying I never see my children anymore I can work full time I stay at home, I don’t feel valued! Parents thinking they want their child to attend but can’t afford it, what do they do? Who can they talk to? Potentially see less of my family How am I going to get to different schools at the same time? Parents can get job Parents thinking they have choice to make right decision for their family I have lots of choice for my children I know my child is safe & enjoying him/herself Doing Working longer hours My children are in safe environment Staying at home preparing for my family/children

8 Children a view of the future Thinking/Feeling/Saying Really young still want mum Why do I have to go, I want to go home I enjoy being here but sometimes I just want to go home Thinks - we are so glad to be a part of this community Feels – We feel we are part of the community making a difference Saying – How can I do my part in the community i.e. give something back to it? I know where I stand here – I feel safe I can stay at school if I need to or want to There are people at school who can help me Lots choice for fun time There’s lots to do at my school – I can learn new stuff I can meet new friends from different schools 16’s 6pm and I’m still at school I like being in school Doing Something positive to shape the future for their children – future generation
