2 Learning Objectives By the end of this workshop you will be know how to: plan and structure an e-learning resource use Articulate software to enhance your existing PPT presentations identify different quiz types use Articulate Quizmaker to create the following: – Multiple Choice Quiz – Multiple Response Quiz – True/False Quiz – Sequence Drag and Drop Quiz – Matching Drag and Drop Quiz use Articulate Engage to create the following: – Step-by-Step instructional tutorial (Process) – Labelled Graphic use Articulate Presenter to create voiceovers/narration for your PPTs. package all of your created materials into 1 PPT file using Articulate Presenter access training videos and documentation for further study access free image resources and understand copyright restrictions

3 What is Articulate? Software for creating e-learning resources – Engage: interactive components – Quizmaker: Self-Assessment Questions – Presenter: interactive presentations Easy to use (PowerPoint style interface) Creates Flash files that can be used online and offline

4 Interactivity Forcing a student to engage with the content, rather than just reading material – Test existing knowledge – Review materials that have been covered Recreate an activity in an electronic format – Experiments – “Hands-on” Tutorials When interacting with content the learning can be more autonomous

12 Creating Quizzes and Interactions What will the interactive component achieve? What are the questions and key points? Are images, animations, voiceovers required? What feedback can be given to the student for correct or incorrect answers
