New York City The Big Apple By: Shelby Dupler

Attractions and Activities There are a lot of fun experiences, places and people in New York city. Here are a few places I’d like to visit. 1.) The Metropolitan Museum of Art. This museum is the largest encyclopedic art museum under one whole roof. Recent renovations, to be completed in 2012, have enlarged the exhibition space without expanding the solid rectangular building that encompasses 1,000 by 500 feet. This museum has had over 5.8 million visitors. 2.) Central Park. My dad actually went to New York City on a mission trip for the church and purposed to his wife in the middle of Central Park. This place is very ironic, considering New York City IS a city and there is zero amounts of grass basically, except Central Park. 3.) The Metropolitan Opera House. This place opened in 1883 and is still as famous as it was then. People have said in the reviews that it is the BEST place to watch performances. 4.) Broadway. This is a very big attraction to most people who visit New York City. This is a very famous place in the theatre industry. Known for their performances. Broadway is a must see attraction. This runs through the entire island of Manhattan. 5.) 9/11. This place was a memorial of 9/11. A lot of people like to visit this site to see the history laced in with the torture of the reminders of 9/11. It’s one of the biggest flaws in our American History, which happened in New York City, hitting the twin tours, killing hundreds and thousands of innocent people.

Number of people I would take and who: I would take my mother, my best friend Taylor Pendleton and my cousin Savannah Dupler.

I would have three other people with me, making four people, including me, would have to have at least three thousand dollars to pay for our activates we do and the hotel if we stay for four nights. Courtyard New York Manhattan/Fifth Avenue would be our hotel. For the flight, we would need two or three hundred dollars per child for the flight for children and six hundred dollars for the adults.

Schedule: We’d get up in the morning around 8am, and would have to eat breakfast and get ready by 9:30am. Then, we would use a map around NYC to get to the places we wanted to go. We’d need to get to our first destination at 10:30. We’d stay until lunch time or whenever the tour, if there is one, ends. We would need to find a place to eat around 11:30pm and drive there. We’d eat at 12pm. We would need to finish eating a hour later and go to another site. We would need to eat dinner at around 6pm or 7pm. After that, we’d go back to the hotel around 9:30- 10pm. Go to bed and get a goodnight’s rest. This would happen everyday.

We would need all types of clothing; Casual, summer like, winter like, fancy and elegance, and of course PJS for our nights of sleeping.
