8 Cancelled and delayed trains 2010 28 800 cancelled trains 45 000 hours delayed trains Cost for delayed trains 660 million euro Cost for cancelled trains 35 million euro Since 2013 the transportauthority decided to not report cancelled trains in the statistics. Delay is now only reported if it is more than 15 minutes. It used to be 5 minutes.

9 OPEN ACCESS OPERATORS Since 2009 Veolia runs between Stockholm and Malmö on the South Main Line Skandinaviska Jernbaner is running on the West Main Line Stockholm – Göteborg since 2012 MTR is running on the West Main Line since march 2015. A problem for these new business concepts is the lack of capacity on the West Main Line where the Swedish Transport Administration has to decide which traffic will have priority It remains to be seen how the profitability will be affected by the introduced competition on the line and its effects on the former national operator, SJAB.
