3 OVERVIEW –Singapore is one of the most wired countries in the world with a nation-wide network of fiber optics cables –3 rd generation (3G) mobile networks and services were rolled out in early 2005 –900 public Wi-Fi hotspots islandwide and number to increase to 5,000 by September 2007 –Networks deployed include ATM, ADSL 2 plus, VDSL, FTTC, PWLAN, cable modem and Metro Ethernet –Triple play networks are available in Singapore
