2 Enter Specialised Diplomas The qualification identified in the Implementation Plan and based on the Tomlinson Diploma model.Implementation of 14 lines of learning is being phased in up to 2013, when all Diplomas must be available to all learners.The “first five lines” to be introduced in September 2008.
4 About Specialised Diploma The status of Diplomas:“Applied” courses rather than “Vocational”Target groups are all learnersNot designed to make learners “job ready” but able to apply knowledge and skills to train and work in their chosen sector.Develop transferable skills for employment and equip for progress to the highest level jobs.Suitable for progression to employment and HE
