3  1.2 million people under the age of 65yrs.  Roughly half of those uninsured are eligible for free or low cost public health insurance Why?

4  They don’t know what free or low cost programs are out there  They think it is only for people that don’t work  They have the wrong information about who can get it  They don’t speak English or they don’t know where to go to get help in their language  More….

6  Medicaid  Family Health Plus  Child Health Plus  All three offer free or low-cost health insurance for eligible people

22  Health & Hospital Corporations (HHC)  All City hospitals will give you services on a sliding scale, it could be as little as $40 per visit  Health New York  COBRA
