1 High Voltage Technology Demonstration Satellite “HORYU-II” Kyushu Institute of Technology 2012/3/13 1

2 HORYU-II’s goal Education – Hands on experience through system engineering. Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD (Doctorate in Nano-Satellite Technology, DNST) – Change mind setup for the Nano-satellites Its cost and time effective Can accelerate more space exploration. Technology demonstration – New technology demonstration in space developed by LaSEINE at KIT. – Develop Nano-satellites for various space research.. Business – Develop more new nano-satellites to help people. – Provide support to other (company and/or university) through CNT at KIT 2

3 High Voltage Technology Demonstration Satellite “HORYU-II” In orbit “300V generation & control of electrical discharge” High-voltage induces Electro-Static Discharges ISS Space factories, space hotel Space solar power system ~ in the middle of 1990 In the middle of 1990 ~ 2012 ~ Voltage, V power, W
