Igniting Children in Worship Prepared by Teachable Heart Ministries

The Gage Wouldn’t it be wonderful if there were a gauge that would tell us if a child is spiritually on fire for God? THERE IS! True Worship.

I’ll bring you more than a song… For a song in itself is not what you have required You search much deeper within Through the way things appear You’re looking into my heart - Heart of Worship

Signs of Spiritual Health Spiritual Fervor? hands raised high and eyes tightly shut Running on Empty? hands in pockets, refusing to worship Both of these children are showing signs of their heart condition

True Worship True worship is the gage that shows the spiritual passion and depth in children. Not necessarily/ and certainly not only during praise songs where the kids are clapping, stomping, and doing actions. Worship is a intimate connection taking place between the children and God. True Worship is the balance between praise, worship, and service

Caught not Taught How can we ignite spiritual passion in the lives of our children? Spiritual passion is caught more than taught! Paul said in 2 Timothy that he saw the sincere (passionate) faith that Timothy had and he knew that Timothy had caught that passion from his mother and his grandmother.

It’s Contagious When you are passionate about the lost children in your city, it’s contagious. When you are passionate about the children you have and seeing them grow strong and be bold in Christ, it’s contagious. When you invest your passion in the hearts and lives of your leaders, you can “Ignite them to Serve!” And when you ignite them, they in turn ignite the children!

Second Timothy 1:6 “Fan into a flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands.” It is our responsibility to fan the fire within ourselves, then spread the fire to others.

Fan the Flame for Passion For more of God, more of the Holy Spirit, more of Him today than we had yesterday. The desire for spiritual gifts. The desire to see the fire, desire the fire, and beg for the fire of God in our lives.

If we’re on fire for God, our leaders and our kids will fall passionately in love with Him, and all His children will be ignited to praise, worship and serve Him.
