2 John Hopps a Canadian inventor created the first cardiac Pacemaker. He found out a heart slows and stops due to cooling, and it could be started by mechanical or electrical means. A Pacemaker works by electronically monitor your heartbeats and when your heart goes out of beat it sends a small electrical shock to throw it back in normal beats.

3 Also Known as a Integrated Circuit, It was a thin substrate of semiconductor material used for holding information. To create it two competing companies owned by Jack Kilby and Robert Novce had to work together and made a company worth over 1 TRILLION dollars and more every day.

4 Maser / Laser 1958 L ight A mplification by the S timulated E mission R adiation Enstine created a theory of the laser and later it was invented by Charles Towns and Arthur Schowlow and named it maser M icrowave Amplification by S timulated E mission R adiation A few things the laser was used for back then was, Laser lighting - Displays for advertising and entertainment, And Laser skin care - Hair removal, acne treatment and other dermatological uses.

5 Funding from the military Christopher Cockrell invented the Hovercraft in 1956. The first design was tested in 1955 using an empty kitty kat cat food tin can inside a coffee tin, industrial air blower and a pair of kitchen scales.
