3. Assessment Program FORMAL Formal assessments are required for grade maintenance and upgrade. These assessments follow specific criteria and must be completed online by the assessor. INFORMAL Informal assessments, known as development and guidance assessments, are completed using a carbon copy form. These assessments offer general performance feedback and the triplicate form provides a record for the official, assessor and the State Director of Assessment.

4. Pre Game Requirements WWW.GAMEOFFICIALS.COM  All game assignments must be accepted online.  All online assessments are completed in the U.S. Soccer GameOfficials Assessment System and can be accessed by the official, assessor, State Director of Assessment, State Referee Administrator and the U.S. Soccer Referee Department. 5. Game Day Requirements 1.Introduce yourself to Referee crew prior to game. 2.Respect USSF policy… do not share your opinion with others. 3.During match take good notes and try to be specific when communicating to crew.  Evaluate them using rating of:  Outstanding  Very Good  Acceptable  Not Acceptable 4.At the end of the match…  Reference your notes.  Meet in private area (if hot choose a shady area).  Be thorough, professional and leave premises (if you can) BE CONSISTENT… DON’T TELL THEM “THEY DID A GOOD JOB” AND THAN FAIL THEM ONLINE.

6. Post Game Requirements 1.Reports  At the conclusion of the game, you must go online and complete the report.  Your assignment is NOT complete until this process is done. 2.Payment  You need to complete the Assessors Request Payment form located on the RISRC.net site in order to receive payment.

7. Assessor Re-Cert Requirements ASSESSOR’S  Five (5) Development and Guidance (D&G) at State Cup.  RI Cup  Super-Liga Championships (Free)  (2) U-19 STATE ASSESSOR’S  Five (5) Development and Guidance (D&G).  Five (5) Adult Assessments

8. Assessor Grades There are seven assessor grades: 1.Grade 13 – Emeritus National Assessor 2.Grade 9 – Associate Assessor 3.Grade 7 – Associate Assessor 4.Grade 6 – Provisional State Assessor 5.Grade 5 – State Assessor 6.Grade 4 – Provisional National Assessor 7.Grade 3 – National Assessor
