2. ● The first department in the Soviet Union which started training in the field of biomedical engineering ● Currently one of the leading departments in the sphere of biomedical engineering in Russia ● Today the staff includes 12 Professors and 7 Associate Professors ● There are 3 levels of education: a Bachelor’s program – 4 years, 3 Master’s programs – 2 years, and a postgraduate program “Devices, systems and products for medical use” ● Since 2014 a new English language master degree program “Bioengineering Systems and Technologies for Prosthetics and Rehabilitation” has been available 2

3. ● Extent of the Program:120 ECTS credits, duration: 2 years (full-time studies) ● Students get knowledge of prosthetics objects modeling and rehabilitation bioengineering systems design. They get skills of practical work with modern technologies and systems for disabled patient examination, ability of carrying out scientific research during the development of new rehabilitation systems. ● The basis of the program was developed in 2006 as Tempus Joint Project #27097 “Developing capability in Orthotic and Prosthetic Education for the Russian Federation” in close collaboration with the University of Salford ● The program is implemented in collaboration with the ETU “LETI” Department of Applied Mechanics and Engineering Graphics 3
