2 The day of the dead is a day of remembrance in Mexican culture. They do not fear death, they believe it to be a new journey.

3 Food is placed on a table along with other offerings to the dead. On the last official day the food is eaten.

4 On the day of the dead people gather around the streets to watch the processions of marchers in costume march down the street representing death.

5 Marigolds are sold all over Mexico during the day of the dead. Originally the marigold was a sacred flower to the Aztec people. They were the flowers of the dead.
