About Leonardo Leonardo DaVinci was one of the greatest minds of his time and still is to this day. He was an inventor and an artist. He was great at the two things he had focused on.
3
His Inspiration Leonardo’s inspiration had come from a Greek scientist Ctesibus. Ctesibus had created many different inventions. One of his famous inventions was the first organ and water clocks with moving figures.

Leonardo’s Robot In the year of 1495, Leonardo had created the first humanoid robot. The robot was based off of the human anatomy. The robot was also designed according to the Vitruvian canon. The armored robot knight was designed to sit up, wave it’s arms, and move its head by a flexible neck while it’s opening and closing its jaw.
5
More about the Robot He would later put chords to simulate the tendons and muscles in the robot. The robot consisted of two independent systems. The two systems were called 3-degree of freedom and 4-degree of freedom. The 3-degree system consisted of legs, ankles, knees, and hips. The 4-degree system consisted of shoulders, elbows, wrists, hands, and arms. These degrees described how much the robot could move its arms and other body parts.

His affect in history Leonardo DaVinci’s invention of his robot had helped create a new interest in robotics. His robot created an idea to work around. A lot of robots have been modeled after his ideas. An example of a robot would be C3PO.
