4  Use the linear group delay to achieve optical tunable delay that can be used for demultiplexing e.g. Combine two signals in nonlinear waveguide allowing FWM to occur  10GHz and continuous wave signal-> wavelength dependent delayed signal  10GHz delayed signal and 40Gb/s data->demultiplexed 10Gb/s channels
