4 © GAL Education 2015 HOW TO USE THIS INTERACTIVE PUBLICATION (1) Of course, you can use this publication as a real book – read it from the slides, or print it out as it is. However, the best use will be to use the interactive elements, and the navigation bars. Most pages have hyperlinks which will take you further into a concept, either with an explanation, or a tool. The navigation bars will prevent you from getting lost and suggest the best route for you to take. (Use the keyboard or mouse to take you to the NEXT or PREVIOUS slide, although this may not necessarily the best slide to go to next.) The accompanying WORD document supplies pro forma for the file itself. NAVIGATION:PREVIOUSCHAPTER HEADINGHOMENEXT

10 © GAL Education 2015 AUDIT OF CURRENT STRATEGIC PLAN Are our plans easy to follow and implement? BEST PRACTICE: Plans identify strategies and specific success criteria. They have interim milestones attached to specific tasks. They indicate the lead person responsible. They include a logical sequence of events, reasonable and attainable timelines, and resource implications. Does our Strategic Plan help us to see the direct relationship between the needs for improvement, the goals we have set, the strategies which we are using, and our expected outcomes?
