7 How Keith Haring Impacted Graphic Design  Keith Haring started by painting graffiti and later became famous for his choice to use bold lines and simple subject matters. He also used his much-adored artwork to speak his mind about racism, gay rights and other political subjects. Which has left a giant impact on graphic design by showing people that it isn’t just about what you draw and paint, it’s about what it means.
