4. The Ardennes, Belgium, at the Siegfried line

5. The allies of the U.S. were Britain and France. They were against Germany (Hitler) Hitler wanted to break it apart so he ordered a massive attack on the American forces. (Know as the Ardennes Offensive )

6. The Ardennes Offensive attack work for two days but after that Britain, America, and France counter attacked. Then the Allies had experience through the first jet bombers.

8. The 1st SS Panzer Division, led by Lieutenant-Colonel Joachim Peiper, had to make their way back to Germany on foot. This was the unit that was responsible for the Malmédy Massacre.
