As far as our experience shows football is still the most popular sport. It is played in every school, college or local community. People are inspired by club championship.

The most professional ones are Manchester United, Tottenham, Liverpool, Chelsea and etc.

Football has a long history. Football was played by the whole village teams in the Middle Ages in England. That is why the modern version of the game came from England. Football was not that popular kind of game until the mid-1900s

Once during the meeting of two Scottish teams fog thickened so that players were looking for a long ball, partners, rivals. At some point, the judge thought that a bit too much on the field players. First, he ran to the benches and saw that they were empty. Referee immediately stopped the game. As it turned out, on the field at the same time was thirty players. Did you know that…

… it generates over £3.7 billion for the British economy and the major horseracing events such as Royal Ascot and Cheltenham Festival are important dates in the sporting and society calendar. … the most popular breeds are Lippitt Morgan, Cleveland Bay, Canadian Horse, Connemara Pony, etc. They cost thousands of pounds. Did you know that…

The "modern" game of golf originated and developed in Scotland. The first golf clubs also appeared in Scotland as well as the very first written rules. The equipment for this game is quite expensive as well as the entrance to a prestigious golf club, so not everyone can afford it. That is the reason why golf is more associated with high class or business community.

* It is extremely popular among teens, a popular place for dates, by the way too. There are several very challenging holes to frustrate competitors. Most of the obstacles (challenges) in mini golf came from 60s which included model windmills, bridges, hills, castles and so on.

Tennis

Historians believe that the game appeared in 12th century in northern France, where a ball was struck with the palm of the hand. Louis X of France was a keen player of jeu de paume (“game of the palm”), which later has become real tennis we enjoy nowadays. The history of tennis

Tennis balls are made of hollow rubber with a felt coating. Traditionally the colour of the ball used to be white, then it was gradually changed to optic Yellow in the latter part of the 20th century to improve its visibility on the court. Equipment A tennis racquet includes a handle, known as the grip, connected to a neck which joins a roughly elliptical frame that holds a matrix of tightly pulled strings. Racquets used to be made of wood and of standard size, and strings were of animal gut.

Rugby

The origin of rugby football is considered to be an incident during a game of English school football at Rugby School in 1823 when William Webb Ellis is said to have picked up the ball and run with it.

The most basic items of equipment for a game of rugby union are the ball itself, a rugby shirt (also known as a "jersey"), rugby shorts, socks and boots. The rugby ball is oval in shape. The ball was historically made of leather, but in the modern era most games use a ball made from a synthetic material. Rugby boots have soles with studs to allow grip on the turf of the pitch. 20 Cricket

Early cricket was described as "a club striking a ball the ancient games of club-ball”. Cricket can definitely be traced back to Tudor times in early 16th-century England. Written evidence exists of a game known as crag being played by Prince Edward, the son of Edward I at Newenden, Kent in 1301 and it is thought to be a form of cricket.

The longest cricket match took place in 1939 between England and South Africa, after 14 days it ended with a tie. The two most common causes for pausing or suspending a cricket game is rain and bad light. Did you know that…

Thank you!
