2 Step 1: Your Name Class Period Step 2: Title Step 3: Notes from reading Include summaries of important ideas, helpful diagrams or charts, definitions of important words, etc. Can be in any form that is helpful to you, for example: Outline Bullets Sentences Step 4: Clarify your notes Use about 2 ½ inches on the left Add questions that you have about the reading, headings, rewrite terms (not definitions) Make it easier to find things in your notes Step 5: Summarize your notes. Add at least two sentences at the end of your notes (not every page) that summarize the section.
