Action verbs indicate the action of a person or thing and it can be physical or mental.
Examples:
My Mom makes dinner every night.
Allison wrote a letter to her friend.
I forgot my book last night and couldn’t complete my homework.

5. Linking Verbs
Definition: A linking verb connects the subject to a noun or adjective that identifies it or describes it.
Examples:
Mom was ready to go.
Mrs. Breitbarth is a teacher.
It tastes good.

6. Link the subject and the noun or adjective in the sentence with the linking Verb
My mother is great at cooking.
Baseball games are fun to watch.
I am taller than my best friend.
The movie was very interesting.

8. Helping Verb
Definition: A helping verb is a verb that comes before the main verb and adds to its meaning. Example: He was leading the race. He had been running the Race. He should have been winning the Race.
