24 CURRENT IT CHALLENGES !! UA Grading questions on QiT are prepopulated with the answer YES System does not allow for a not applicable option, QiT system error with scoring - confirms a UA Grading status even if only a few questions are completed.

25 Assessors have to complete a long list of assessment questions when it is obvious the property cannot meet the requirements. Some assessors submitting results of full UA compliance without a proper assessment The criteria questions are not clear and up to date with industry trends – extremely high standard. Property owners don’t want to be UA Graded – perception of cost factor to them CURRENT ASSESSOR CHALLENGES !!

26 THE WAY FORWARD THE WAY FORWARD  QiT System full re-testing of all possible scenarios and double testing – end Sept 2012.  3-year Review of the Grading Criteria – key UA stakeholders under guidance of Ms Amor Malan – a member of the Awards Committee – 1 April 2013  Development of a UA Technical Guide to assist both establishments and assessors understand the requirements of UA Grading better – on standby until 3-year Review.
