3 Geography Peru has many different features in its terrain, like: Mountains Coasts Ruins Forests Etc.

5 Landscape is Incredible The landscape is full of geographical features, like the Andes Mountains, mountain lakes and the Amazon River.

6 Lima, Peru The Capital of Peru, and the Largest City in Peru is a place of all trades. Churches are very big in Lima. Lima has traditional Buildings at the Plaza de Armas.

7 Cities in Peru Cities here are very old and most of them have ruins of when the Spanish ruled the Peru area. These cites are: Lima (Capital) Chiclayo Piura Arequipa Puno Cuzco Trujillo Chimbote Callao And many smaller towns as well.

8 Economy Mining, agriculture, industry, and fisheries are the main components of the Peruvian economy. While the development of mining and industry over the past three decades has been very substantial, that of agriculture, especially for the domestic market, has been slow. The GNP per capita was $ 1,470 in 1987 and has grown in recent years at an average annual rate of approximately 8 percent. The unemployment rate was 8.2 percent in the same year. Underemployment, however, is very widespread and, in the mid-1950s was estimated to affect 51 percent of the workers. The inflation rate was 114% in 1987. Tourism is assuming a growing importance in Peru's economy

9 to central History For at least 300 years before the arrival of the first Europeans (Spaniards), most of the Peru (excluding the eastern lowlands) was the heart of the Inca empire that extended from present-day Ecuador,Peru Chile.

10 Religion is Very Important Peruvians take their religion (Catholicism) very seriously and love to plan events that celebrate all religious events.

11 Conflict Peru & Ecuador One of the major events that has happened in Peru is, a while back, Peru and Ecuador had some border conflict up in the northern part of Peru as you can see in the picture marked in red.

12 Where to go Visit Places to go visit: Machu Pichu Cuzco Lima Museums New Shopping Malls around the Coast

13 Go to Peruvian Ancient Ruins Places to go in Peru are the ancient ruins of the Incas. Some ruins are older than the time of Christ.

14 More Ruins to visit As you can see, they created these masses of constructions using very large blocks of stone, with no tools of mass production.

15 Look at these Big Things Here we see more ruins, and the architecture to make all this possible without any tools of modern age is incredible.

16 More Big Rocks Check out the 9 sided stone block that makes this wall perfectly enclosed, Cuzco.

17 Museums are all over Lima and most of Peru’s cities. They feature the vast variety of ancient Inca and Pre-Inca Artifacts as well as real mummies, like the one in the picture above.

18 Traditional Clothing There are different traditional styles in Peru from dancing clothes to marketing clothes… …and people wear traditional clothing because that’s how they were raised and its their culture to wear these clothes.

19 Peruvian University Peru has lots of new and old universities that many Peruvian students attend.
