Marketing Marketing Industrial Tires Ute Weiß, 10.09.08 © Continental AG The table shows the measured values as read from the display of the measuring device on the forklift. The driver has the greatest influence in the operational cycle sections 1-2, 3-6 and 7-9, (braking, steering, lifting, etc.). The driving speed is set to 8 km/h, so the forklift attempts to maintain this speed. That is the reason for the rather precise reproducibility of the driving times in these areas. Since the maximum speed is attained before crossing the light barriers, no additional accelerations occur on the 20 m long stretch, which also results in very good reproducibility of the consumption values. 5. Results – Data acquisition

Marketing Marketing Industrial Tires Ute Weiß, 10.09.08 © Continental AG 6. Conclusion The CSEasy is the tire with the lowest energy consumption among the tested tires. Further tire features were not considered in the test. This test set-up is to show the importance of rolling resistance/energy consumption in a typical forklift application.
