7. Facts Picasso was inspired by African tribal masks. Picasso began his cubism art phase in 1907 Several paintings by Picasso rank among the most expensive in the world A Picasso painting named Garcon a la pipe was sold in 2004 for $104 million.

8. His Work The total number of artworks he created was around 50,000 1,885 paintings 1,228 sculptures 2,880 ceramics 12,000 drawings & thousands of prints

9. After his death Picasso died on the 8 th of April 1972 making him 91 years old Picasso’s last words are said to have been “Drink to me and my health” Picasso is still loved today for his paintings and through learning about him in schools Picasso will always be remembered.
