1 Anti-Bullying Week Linking to the strands in the PSHCE policy. Children will: Develop confidence and responsibility and make the most of their abilities. Prepare to play an active role as citizens. Develop a healthy safer lifestyle. Develop good relationships and respect the differences between people.

2 Year 1 We had fun in a drama workshop thinking about what makes a good friend

4 Year 2 enjoying workshops

5 Year 3 Working as a team – catching feathers!

6 Year 4 learnt about racism and the importance of respecting everyone regardless of race.

7 Year 5 Understanding the importance of team work. Everyone can work together at Howe Dell.

8 Year 6 We know we can’t judge people based on their skin colour.

9 We learnt new skills and enjoyed team games.

10 Year 1 “We discussed what would go in a friendship soup and came up with: joy, happiness, kindness, help, funny, smiley, good laugh.” Year 2 “The class found the drama very useful for developing coping strategies and developing ideas to solve problems themselves on the playground.” Year 3 “I liked writing anti-bullying poems.” “I liked expressing our feelings through poetry and I hope our next Wonder Day will be as great as this one.” Year 4 The children wrote a rap based on bullying. “I’ve learnt more about all the different cultures and races there can be.” Year 5 The children also wrote poems based on bullying Year 6 The children planned and wrote a story about bullying with a clear moral at the end. “I enjoyed writing stories about all different people.” “I thought the workshops were good to help us learn about racism.”
