6 Countries and regions of the Himalaya  The Himalaya is the highest mountain range in the world.  These mountains stretch across 4 countries or regions: China, India, Nepal, and Pakistan. How can one peak be in 2 countries?  A peak can be on the border, the place where 2 or more countries come together.

7 Most of the highest mountains are in Nepal  8 of the 10 highest peaks in the world are found in Nepal.  Nepal is located on the continent of Asia.  Nepal is a landlocked country; it has no seacoast.  Nepal has more than 240 peaks that are higher than 20,000 feet.  The primary mountain range in Nepal is called the Himalaya.
