2  A central, remotely accessible system (web service) for generating standard compliance documentation and reports;  Ensures consistency in reporting by specifying the methods that can be used for generating compliance documents (standardized data exchange).

3  Benefits  Will allow for more effective deployment of errata and document changes;  Based on open standards that will allow widely- available support;  Extensible to additional purposes such as, NSHP, tax credits, or EM&V-related reporting.

4  Based on Open Standard XML Technologies  XML Data for data transport and storage  XML Schema for standardized data structure  XSL Formatting Objects for document publishing  XSL Transformation for additional reporting

6  Documents constructed using a library of templates that represent the document layout and formatting using XSL-FO programming directives;  Reportable data constrained by what is available from compliance software;  Availability of software tools to allow CEC Staff to manage documents.

7 For the CBECC tool this applies to the Certificate of Compliance, however, the same opportunity for reporting is applicable to other compliance documents including Certificate of Installation and Certificate of Field Verification & Testing

8  CEC Staff developing proposals for the content and layout for the Certificate of Compliance;  Reconciling CBECC output to data required to complete the Certificate of Compliance;  Evaluating candidates for Rendering Server software used by the Report Generator;  Evaluating candidates for software for editing document templates;  Preparing draft specification for web service software interface to Report Generator;
