Some new terms: What does safeguarding mean? o Promoting the welfare.. o Keeping safe from harm, such as illness, abuse or injury o Making sure risks of harm to welfare are minimised o Taking appropriate action to address concerns about welfare Safeguarding is first about keeping children safe but secondly about protecting ourselves from false allegations.
