1 Do Now:  At the interface between two materials, a light ray is at an angle of incidence of 45º on a side with an index of refraction of 1.11. The light is at an angle of 34.49 º on the other side of the interface. What is the index of refraction on the other side?

18 Step-by-Step Method for Drawing Ray Diagrams 1. From the top of the object draw two incident rays traveling towards the mirror: Ray 1 : passes through the focal point on the way to the mirror Ray 2: travels parallel to the principal axis Ray 2 Ray 1

19 Step 2:  Once these incident rays strike the mirror, reflect them according to the two rules of reflection for concave mirrors. Extend the rays past their point of intersection.
