VENICE, ITALY

PLANE TICKETS A plane ticket to Venice, Italy costs $1,064.27 per person.

PASSPORTS A passport costs $135 per person. You can get a passport at a passport agency, which are all across the United States.

VACCINATIONS No vaccinations are needed to travel to Italy, but these vaccinations are recommended: measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus- diphtheria, influenza.

Money The currency exchange rate is $1=o.74 euros. Two thousand dollars would equal fourteen thousand eighty euros.

WHERE TO STAY We have chosen to stay in an apartment building called Grand Canal. It is located on the coast of the Grand Canal. It costs 2,900 euros per week to stay there. If we stay for one month like we plan to, it will cost us 11,600 euros total for our stay. One of the reasons why we chose Grand Canal is because it is a pretty good price for a place to stay in Venice. For example, it is difficult to find an apartment under 3,000 euros per week in Venice. We also chose this location because of its spectacular view of the Grand Canal. Next, we chose to stay here because it is next to a waterway. For instance, we figured we would travel by boat most likely, and we figured there would be a boat loading doc nearby. Another reason why chose this apartment is because there is plenty of space inside. For example, there are two bedrooms, one for each of us. A bonus to this abode is that there is also an elevator in this apartment that takes you to the second floor of your temporary home. The kitchen is smaller, but it is usable. We also chose this place to live because there are three working bathrooms with showers in this apartment.

TRANSPORTATION The most popular way to get around Venice is by boat. It costs 200 euros for a month to get around by boat.

WHAT TO DO There is plenty of entertainment in Venice! One of the best places to eat in Venice is at Ristorante Grand Canal. Their ratings for food, services, value, and atmosphere are excellent. It is very high on the chart. It was ranked 207 out of the 912 restaurants in Venice. There are lots of shops around the Venice area where you can buy souvenirs, clothing, purses, jewelry, etc… For example, Bottega Veneta is a shop on the coast of the Grand Canal where you can buy nice quality bags and purses. Soccer is very big in Italy. There are lots of soccer sporting events that you can attend to, such as an F.B.C. Unione Venezia game. That is a men’s professional soccer team, but they are not in the highest or top league in Europe. Although, their games would still be enjoyable to watch.
