Web Messaging for Registration Cancellation for Non-Payment (RCFN) July 17, 2006

Date Type 0039 – Web Messaging for Registration Cancellation for NonPayment Only institutions using the built in RCFN features should set up this date type. Recommended Start date is the same as date type 0030 – Tuition Calc. Recommended End date is when you will no longer be dropping students. Security AR_01H required to set-up. Only affects messages displayed on students Web page.

Add Date Type 0039 to UT3056UG screen

When and where will the students see messages? Messages are displayed when the current date is between the begin and end dates of Date Type 0039. Messages are found on the students: My Account page View/Modify Class Schedule page* Results page from adding or dropping a class* * An RCFN Link will display on the View/Edit class schedule and Results pages. The student must click the link to see their RCFN status.

Important Note Even when the Drop Flag on the AR2218UG screen is set to N, the student will still receive a message that they have not met the requirements and are a candidate to be dropped. The student must resolve the reason for being a candidate before the system will show them as meeting the requirements. Using the No Drop Flag should be a last resort to prevent a student from dropping. Regular system avenues such as entering waivers or deferments should be used before using the Drop Flag.
