2 Supply Chain Management Defined Supply chain management (SCM) The design, planning, execution, control, and monitoring of supply chain activities with the objective of creating net value, building a competitive infrastructure, leveraging worldwide logistics, synchronizing supply with demand and measuring performance globally. – APICS 2013

3 Mission of the CBT The College of Business & Technology serves Nebraska and the surrounding region by preparing students to compete in dynamic professional environments and promoting academic, social and economic development. 4 College of Business and Technology: University of Nebraska at Kearney Tim Burkink, Dean, College of Business and Technology Tim Burkink completed his Pd.D. in Marketing (Channels) in 1997. Before his academic career, Tim was a Buyer for Nash Finch Company and a Brand Manager for Sathers, Inc. His primary research contributions focus on knowledge transfer in marketing channels. Greg Broekemier, Chair, Department of Marketing and MIS Greg Broekemier completed his Ph.D. in Marketing in 1993. Prior to working in higher education, Greg was a Merchandise Manager for JCPenney. In that capacity, he worked closely with suppliers and shippers as he purchased inventory each year at both the store and district levels. Greg Benson, Assistant Professor of Marketing and SCM Coordinator Greg Benson completed his Ed.D. in 2014. He has over 28 years of industry experience including 20 years with Eaton Corporation as Materials Manager and Manager of Procurement. Ngan Chau, Assistant Professor of Marketing and SCM Ngan Chau completed her Ph.D. in Marketing in 2012. Her research focuses on durable goods and marketing channels. Prior to working in higher education, Ngan was a market developer in Vietnam for three years. Aaron Estes, Assistant Director, Academic & Career Services
