3  Masculine 0 el helado  Masculine nouns USUALLY end in -0.  el helado  Feminine nouns USUALLY end in - a.  la fruta 3

4  Singular nouns name 1 of something. the girl the student the apple  Plural nouns name more than 1 of something. the girls the students the apples 4

5  If a noun ends in a VOWAL (a,e,i,o,u)  ADD “s” to make it plural. muchacho  muchachos  If a singular noun ends in a CONSONANT (r,l,n..)  ADD “es” to make it plural. trabajador  trabajadores 5

7 Definite Articles  When we want to say “the” in Spanish, we use Definite Articles.  Definite Articles change according to the gender of the noun and according to whether the noun is singular or plural. 7
