1 Project Management Service
Laboratory Service Job Site/Factory Service Warranty About the project management service it will divide in three parts: first is lab service it will help us to choose best sealant for the project, and The compatibility between the sealant and the backing material, and so on. The job sit service will help us to check whether the sealant works well

2 Project Management Service
Laboratory Service included: Print Review Adhesion Test Compatibility Test Staining Test Others Those tests will help us to avoid the problem

3 Standard Testing for Building Material
Adhesion Test (ASTM C794) Compatibility Test (ASTM C 1087) Staining Test (ASTM C 1248) Quality Control in shop and on job site

4 Sufficient Bite and Glueline
Print Review Sufficient Bite and Glueline Glass or Insulating Glass W Foam Backer Rod D BEFORE ANY PROJECTS STARTS, We will help you to calculate the required bite and glueline B Frame Spacer Structure Sealant B Structural bite D Structural glueline W Weatherseal bite

5 Structural Glazing Guidelines
Structural bite and Glueline thickness no less than 6 mm Structural bite should larger than glueline thickness Ideal Bite to Gueline thickness ratio is 1:1 to 3:1 Structural joint should be allow access through standard glazing tool and practice On-site glazed units must be secured by a temporary fixing before structural sealant establish its strength and bonding, shop glazed units can be moved out when structural joint had been cured and adhered.

6 Adhesion Test (ASTM C794) Sealant Cleaning Solvent Primer
Before we do the test we will do the tests, provide me your job site sample,we will do the following test to you. We will run adhesion test on the job site samples as per ASTM C 794 to ensure good adhesion Peel-Strength Primerless Prepared Sample

7 Compatibility Test (ASTM C 1087)
Identify the materials Foam backer rod which discolour the sealant, cause the sealant lose adhesion, whether adhesion to the sealant Identifies Materials Which Discolor the Sealant Cause the Sealant to Lose Adhesion Adhere to the Sealant

8 Staining Testing (ASTM C 1248)
Pressure Pressure Sometimes we will broke the stone to check whether the sealant staining the stone. Select a Suitable Sealant to Prevent Staining

10 Sealant Application Training
Three Steps: Cleaning Primer (if required ) 3. Sealant Application

11 Sealant Application Training
Standard Cleaning Procedure ——“Two-Cloth” Cleaning Method Solvents: Alcohol, Acetone, Isopropanol, Ethyl Acetate

12 Pour or dispense an acceptable solvent onto the cloth.
Wipe vigorously to remove contaminants. a clean, white, lint free cloth 2 Cloth Cleaning Method: Solvent Clean Explains the first stage of joint preparation/cleaning. The cleaning process is refered to as the 2 Cloth Cleaning Method. The paint surface is vigorously rubbed using a clean, white, lint free cloth that has been soaked in solvent. The combination of the rubbing and the solvent works to lift the waxes, dirt and oil from the surface and suspends them in solution. In the case of the wax film which is present on the surface of Polyester Powdercoat Paint it is extemely important to clean the surface vigorously as the wax film is quite thick and difficult to remove. It is important to recognise that a simple wipe with solvent will not remove the wax. The degree of difficulty associated with removing the wax film is also dependent on the colour of the paint. The colour effects the characteristics of the film. Choice of cleaning solvent is also important. The solvent needs to be sufficiently aggressive to remove the contaminants, particularly the wax, without effecting the underlying paint surface. Dow Corning recommends the use of White Spirits(ie, Contains about 20% Aromatics) 12 Notes: 硅宝科技

13 2 3. Immediately wipe the cleaned area with a clean, dry cloth. 13
2 Cloth Cleaning Method: Solvent/Dirt Removal. The next stage of the cleaning process requires that the residual solution consisting of the waxes, dirt and oil suspended in the solvent is wiped from the surface using a second, clean, white, lint free cloth. This step is important because if the solvent is left to evapourate from the surface then the contaminants which are suspended in the solution will be deposited back onto the surface of the paint. Once again choice of solvent is important. If the solvent is too volatile it will flash off before it can be wiped away. This problem is even more pronounced in high temperatures. An example is Methyl Ethyl Ketone which is both highly aggressive and will effect the paint finish and also is highly volatile. Cloths to be used should not be colored as the solvent will lift the dye from the cloth and deposit it on the substrate surface which will effect sealant adhesion. 13 Notes: 硅宝科技

14 Application of Primer:

15 Two-part silicone sealant application
1.Butterfly Test Apply Sealant to Creased White Paper Press Together Well-Mixed Poorly-Mixed Every time, When you ready to apply the sealant, you should do *** to check the sealant mixed well. 2 situation, you should check your pump machine, try it again. At the same time, you should do the to adjust the mix ratio 2.Snap-Time Test Make Sure Whether the Mix Ratio is Correct
