10 February 20041 Door Configuration

10 February 20042 Door Configuration Allows you to define the operating parameters for each door, individually There are 15 parameters that can be set, you may not need to set/change all parameters

10 February 20043 Open the Door Configuration Window Click the Setup > System pull-down menu option OR Click the tool bar button Then click the Doors tab

10 February 20044 Door Configuration Use the scroll bars to step through all configuration parameters and all doors

10 February 20045 Dedicated I/O Dedicated I/O allows you to assign controller inputs to controller outputs to perform certain tasks These assignments should be made before configuring door operating parameters

10 February 20046 Door Name Click in the cell and enter a descriptive door name for each door –Descriptive names make report reading easier –Do not duplicate door names –No more than 30 characters

10 February 20047 Controller/Door Address Lists the individual controller addresses and door addresses reported by the controllers during auto configuration

10 February 20048 Door Class Click on the pull-down list arrow and select the door class that applies to each door: interior or exterior “Operate Doors” functions can be applied to doors by door class

10 February 20049 Door Type Click on the pull-down list arrow and select the door type that applies to each door –Door (default) – Telephone Entry –Gate – Time and Attendance –Elevator Door Type options are enabled in System Options

10 February 200410 Reader Type Click on the pull-down list arrow and select the reader type that applies to each door –Standard – for typical access door control –In – typically only allows access into a secure area –Out – typically only allows exit from a secure area –Muster – used to identify who has checked in Enable the Rollcall/Track feature to enable this field

10 February 200411 Access Enabled Allows you to turn a reader ON or OFF, enabling or disabling the reader for access control

10 February 200412 Unlock Time Click in the cell and enter the amount of time in seconds that the door lock relay will be active for a valid access request

10 February 200413 Open Time Click in the cell and enter the amount of time in seconds that the door can be open (active) before a door held open alarm is generated –When a valid credential is presented –When an RTE is issued –When a timed unlock is issued

10 February 200414 Unlock/Lock Timezone The unlock/lock timezone sets the time at which a door will be automatically unlocked/locked –This is typically used on a front or general access door –These time zones must have already been created Click on the pull-down list arrow and select the timezone that applies to each door

10 February 200415 First Person In FPI ensures that an auto-unlock door remains locked until an employee presents a valid card Click on the pull-down list arrow and select the FPI time that applies to each door

10 February 200416 First Person In There are five values to choose from –Enabled –Enabled 15 –Enabled 30 –Enabled 45 –Enabled 60 Enabled XX values allow a controller to “look ahead” 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. If a valid card is presented during the look ahead period, the door will unlock and allow that cardholder access (but still will not unlock for general access until the time specified by the unlock/lock time zone).

10 February 200417 Door Forced Open/Held Open Allows you to define which output will be activated when a door is forced open or held open Click on the pull-down list arrow and select the desired output
