2 Many dinosaur fossils have been found in England. One of the very first was a fossil of a leg bone that was discovered by Reverend Plot more than 300 years ago. 3 Scientists found footprints that were made 150 million years ago. Dinosaurs walked over the soft ground and left footprints. Then the ground hardened into rock and left fossil footprints behind.
