When you need a bill of materials for a single part or entire orders… BusinessWorks does not have a nested Bill of Materials/Requirements Report

In BusinessWorks - to retrieve bill of material information… Run a subassembly report And Hand-compile requirements This report is sufficient for a single level product But if you have a product with multiple levels of parts and assembly….. You NEED BSoft !!!!!!

With BSoft you have the solution… A Nested Bill of Materials spread sheet AND A summarized materials requirement report For single level or multiple level part builds So, how does it work? Let’s take a look!

Open BSoft’s BuildSS… This will generate a detailed Bill of Materials/Build report Select the product or product range you want a parts list and BOM for Enter the quantity desired Hit “Add” Repeat this step for every desired part Or select the range and limit the output to a specific product line Hit “Add Range” Hit “Add Range” Than “Run Rpt:

What was initially an order for 10 can be changed to 50 showing… An increase in the number of parts required from 20,000 to 100,000 And that’s just the tip of the iceberg!!!!

BSoft’s Bill of Material Spreadsheet Five ways to run build reports by sales orders Today’s Orders: Shows all orders entered on current day – using the same logic that BW uses to build its “today” reports Order Date: Defaults to give orders scheduled to be released in the last week. Required Date: Defaults to give orders scheduled to be released in the following week Release Date: Defaults to give orders scheduled to be released in the current week All Open Orders: Shows all open orders that the company needs to have filled at any time also provides the ability to find purchasing and building requirements for open sales orders

The two commonly used options are “Today’s Orders” and “All Open Orders” While both options are beneficial… “Today’s Orders” option can be used to generate a “Just in Time” raw materials consumption report “All Open Orders” will give you a comprehensive summary of all parts and materials needed to fill all outstanding sales order That’s not all!!!

Alternate Reporting with BSoft’s Product Build Report’s “True Requirement” Mode The “True Requirement” mode modifies the Product Build Report’s output. Only shows a drill down of the parts that have insufficient quantity on hand Maintains a cumulative I/S quantity as prior order needs are addressed Provides the cumulative required production amount, in the “production requirements” tab to fulfill selected orders BSoft’s Product Build Report, offers guidance and support for your production needs.
