12  Discussion How justified is Mary Tudor’s reputation?

13  Your task List reasons why people would be pleased and concerned when Mary was crowned Queen in 1553. Why did people change their minds about Mary? List 5 changes she made to churches or religion that would have angered Protestants. Highlight the most significant one, and explain your answer. Does Mary deserve the nickname, ‘Bloody’? Explain your answer giving reasons for and against.

14  Your task In 1558 Mary died. Write an obituary of Mary’s life from a Catholic perspective. Annotate and explain all the phrases a Protestant would disagree with using the ‘Insert comment’ function. You may wish to use the ‘Obituary’ template on the history website
