2 La France The French weren’t always French! Starting as Neanderthals, these original inhabitants were “colonized” by the Celtic Gauls, the Romans under Julius Ceasar, and the Franks including Charlemagne. The French went on to colonize parts of Asia, Africa, the Americas, and even Europe! French influence is everywhere!!

8 Montpellier Activities: - Walking tour including the jardin des plantes (France’s oldest botanical garden), Peyrou, arc de triomphe, Saint roch, Saint Pierre, main squares and cobblestone streets. (1 day - All Free!) - Palavas les Flots (Trip to the beach! 1 day - by bus or by bike $15) Activities Cost: $15
