Discover IBM SVC luns, start AIX mirroring Once LVM mirroring complete, delete original Storage Vendor LUNs and delete hdisks If Storage Vendor Multi-path in use: Unmount FS’s, uninstall existing Storage Vendor multi-path driver, install IBM SDDPCM or MPIO Discover IBM SVC luns, start AIX mirroring Once LVM mirroring complete, delete original Storage Vendor LUNs and delete hdisks SVC Image Mode Deploying SVC Image Mode migration Unmmount FS’s, Swap out existing vendor multi-path for IBM SDDPCM Migrate existing Storage Vendor LUNs to SVC control, re-present SVC LUNS to host SVC will transparently copy data within the SVC appliance to new backend arrays
