Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules Second Edition (2002 Revision with 2005 Update) (AACR2) Rules designed for use in the construction of catalogs and other lists in general libraries of all sizes, covering the description of, and the provision of access points for, all library materials commonly collected at the present time.  Descriptive Cataloging of Rare Materials (Books) (DCRM(B)) Rules designed to provide instructions for cataloging printed books, pamphlets, and single-sheet publications of any age or type of production whose rarity, value, or interest make special description necessary or desirable. NOTE: DCRM(B) is based on AACR2 rules and should be not be thought of as a replacement for AACR2, but rather as more detailed guidelines to guide the cataloger far more strictly.
