中国智能运输系统体系框架 National ITS System Architecture of China 全国智能运输系统专家委员会 National ITS Committee of Experts
2
1. China Needs and needs her own ITS 1.1 China Needs ITS By the end of 1999, China has: Population: Over 1.3 billion, No.1 in the World Highway: Over 1.4 million Km, No.4 in the World Freeway:11,605 Km, No.3 in the World Traffic Accident:Over 80,000 people dead, No.1 in the world Vehicles: Over 50 million Railway: Busiest in the World Resource: Natural Resource per capita, Out of No.50 in the World
3
- There are none system can fit all the country. - China Can not Copy developed countries’ ITS. - Unbalanced development of ITS in China. - National ITS should conform to government management system. 1.2 China Needs her Own ITS
4
Table of Government Functions Related to Transportation
5
2. How develop China’s ITS Government’s Consider: - ITS System Architecture - ITS Standards - ITS Development Strategy and Deployment Plan
6
3. ITS System Architecture of China 3.1 Significance: -Overall contents and relationship between different parts of national ITS development are specified and national compatibility and investment benefits are guaranteed. -Formulation of the system architecture will make ITS into focal point in society. -Formulation of the system architecture will designate the positions and roles of government, enterprises and users in ITS deployment.
7
3.2 Main objectives: -Identify the whole demands for national ITS. -Confirm the feature of national ITS system architecture. -Analysis technical and economical factors which affect national ITS development.
8
3.3 Main parts of national ITS system architecture Part 1: Users, Service providers. Part 2: User services Part 3: Logical architecture Part 4: Physical architecture Part 5: Communication Infrastructure and GIS-T Data Exchange Platform. Part 6: ITS standards Part 7: Evaluation.
9
4. Methodology
10
4.1 Why needs a system architecture
11
4.2 Focus on the User Services
12
4.3 Research Methods Process-Oriented Methodology - typically US and Europe -China use this method. Object-Oriented Methodology - Japan and Australia
13
4.4 The technical route of studying ITS system architecture of China 1. Determine the content of user services 2. Establish logic architecture 3. Establish physical architecture 4. Clarify the content of standardization
14
5. Main Points of ITS System Architecture of China
15
Differences between national ITS Service areas and those in ISO standards 5.1 User Services
16
5.2 Logical Architecture - Structure of Logical Architecture Layer 1: System Function Field Layer 2: System Function Layer 3: Process and data flow - Top Layer Logical Architecture
17
Function field of Traffic Management and planning Function field of multi-modal transportation Function field of incident management and personal security Function field of traveler information Function field of electronic toll collection Function field of Operation Management Function field of assistance for safe driving and Intelligent Highway Users and Service providers Top level Logical Architecture
18
5.3 Physical Architecture - Structure of Physical Architecture Layer 1: System Layer 2: Sub System Layer 3: Module and architecture flow Other: Physical Reference Model - Top Layer Physical Architecture
19
Top layer physical architecture Traffic control and Parking Management Public Transport Electronic payment Multi-modal transport Information service Logistics System Urban road traffic central system’ Central subsystem Road management Freight transportation Electronic payment Long-haul Passenger transportInformation service Inter-urban road transportation Central subsystem Communication Infrastructure and GIS-T Data Exchange Platform Users and service providers Infrastructure (Road-side equipment, Road Vehicle, etc.) Intelligent Highway Traffic Management
